From March 2019, beekeepers will be able to enter into insurance contracts for bees.
Insurance coverage Pasechnik will be able to choose himself. The insurance payment will depend on the chosen insurance coverage for each bee, but on average 6% of the sum insured. In this case, the insurance company reserves the right to recover in its favor the damage from poisoning bees from the person who caused the damage. That is, insurers will work on the side of the beekeepers.
To use insurance services and, accordingly, payments in the event of an insured event, beekeepers will be able only on condition of official registration of apiaries, as well as constant communication with local farmers.
Experienced beekeepers in the Kharkiv region already have experience in Ukraine, where cooperation with the State Administration, State Committee for Proprietary Service, the Association of Farmers and private landowners has already been established.
That is, if beekeepers are officially registered then the insurance will help them to provide financial losses in the event of adverse effects or poisoning of bees.
